Brooke Lodge is most grateful for the life she and her husband have built together and for her growing family. When she recently took the time to participate in Project Gratitude, Brooke shared the news that she was expecting a new baby — a second daughter! 

Being pregnant during the pandemic has been challenging, and she’s grateful that she and her family have remained healthy. As her due date approaches and more doctor’s visits are required, she’s seen firsthand how healthcare providers have adapted during these difficult times. “The way that everyone has had to adapt and has worked tirelessly to get through this is truly impeccable.” 

Brooke spots gratitude in moments as simple as a beautiful day, a warm hug from a friend, or a compassionate moment with a person — all things she appreciated pre-pandemic, but now she’s truly grateful for them. 

I think this public health crisis has taught us to be thankful for everything that we have and for the things around us that we fill our daily lives with. It can be the smallest thing to something much bigger, but it’s those things and moments that we had to hold on to when we were all quarantined at home.
