While it feels good to be on the receiving end of love and appreciation, Patricia Fretz believes that feeling pales in comparison to when you give. “There is more happiness in giving than receiving,” she said, adding that gratitude wards off loneliness and boosts happiness.

Gratitude is an extension of yourself and your thankfulness.

Patricia is most grateful for “the wonderful nature we can enjoy, flowers, animals and fish that God has created for us.” She’s also incredibly grateful for her surgeon at Baptist Health Hardin, Dr. Ashley Kerekes, MD.
